Dusty Sanding From Makita Corded Sheet Sander

Hi chaps, having bought a MAKITA CORDED 200W 240V 1/4 SHEET SANDER BO4555 I'm finding the dust extractor more or less useless, anyone any experience of this or any knowledge of the hoover attachment please ?
