I just replaced two light fittings in my bedroom cupboards both on the same light circuit. The new fittings have an earth terminal on them which I connected up OK. The first one works fine but the other one throws the circuit breaker out as soon as I energise the light circuit. If I disconnect the earth wire to it though it then works fine.
Has anyone any clues as to why it won't work with the earth connected?
Perhaps a faulty fitting?
