Electric shower on a vented system

by shane21075 » Wed Oct 03, 2007 1:58 pm

Hi, fitting electric shower on a unvented system as vented uses way too much hot water and so gas. Was going to use the same feed (cold only obviously) from the mixer shower to the electric shower and uninstall the mixer. Is this OK or is the pressure to high? If not how can I get around it? thanks

The problem of too much pressure in the rising main cold lines, is rectified using a pressure-reducer, available from plumbers-merchants outlets.
It can also be used to balance highish cold/moderate hot pressure, with an ordinary blender-shower.
