Electric Wet Central Heating

by Lou-Zinit » Mon Nov 09, 2009 12:53 pm

Hi,

first post here so apologies if this has been covered before.
A
t present we are heating a 2 bed terrace with electric oil filled rads, which are proving expensive to run.

Would an electric wet system be any cheaper, could this be run on eco 7 or 10 and is so how is this cheap electric stored, also presume if we fit an electric boiler only we would still require an insulated tank or would an electric combi be the best option.

Or would we be better getting connected to gas (no suitable spot to site
a boiler gas and water at opposite ends of the house)

Thanks in advance

I think your best solution is to get 3 Registered Gas Installers trading as heating engineers in to advise you and give you three prices for comparison.

Cheers
