Fitting two electric showers

by tonnee » Tue Aug 14, 2007 4:56 pm

Hi can you tell me if it would be OK to fit another electric shower in my ensuite by taking a spur from the existing electric shower in the bathroom?

Cheers

Tony

TONNEE
NO , A SHOWER MUST BE WIRED ON ITS OWN DEDICATED
CIRCUIT.
ALSO THIS WORK IS NOTIFIABLE AND MUST BE CARRIED OUT
BY PART P REGISTERED ELECTRICIAN.

Cheers for the info Blakey,

My other option was to replace the electric shower in the bathroom with one connected to the hot and cold water supply and then refit the electric one into the en-suite, which is located on the other side of the stud wall so no other rewiring needed other than disconecting and reconnecting it in the shower unit.

would simply moving the electric shower like this also be notifiable? If so I will call in the Electrician.

Thanks

Tony
