Fixing Arris Rail Brackets - Screws or Nails and What Type?

What should be used to fix arris rail brackets - galvanised screws or nails
What size(length and diameter) is best for 75mm arris rail
If nails - should they be 'straight' or 'serrated'

use timberdeck screws 65mm should be fine
