Fixing Cabinet to brick wall lined with 25mm Thermal Board

by ALJOLSON » Sun Jul 15, 2007 12:52 am

I need to fix a Kitchen Cabinet to a brick wall lined with 25mm Thermal board. The cabinet will be used for heavy objects like wine bottles. What size and type of screws and wall plugs must I use; I assume the screw must enter the brick for at least 50mm but cannot find a 50mm wallplug.

you dont need a 50mm pug , you drill the hole to the depth required then insert the plug , and with the screw inserted gently tap it all the way in , the plug should always be in the brick and not the plaster or thermal borard
