fixing corrugated sheets

by Doris shut » Sun Sep 18, 2011 3:02 pm

Hi
I hope someone can help with this.
I want to cover an alleyway with corrugated plastic to use for storage.
It’s 2m wide x 3m long. There are built up walls on three sides. I’m screwing battens to these sides with a purlin to support the middle. I’m not sure how to fix the final sheet. I won’t be able to reach to secure it. Someone suggested to fix from the inside with a toggle fixing but I’m not sure. Any advise will be welcome.
Thanks
Chris

you normally start 1 end to the other, and lean over to fix it with a screwcap and rubber gromit ,but if you cant do it,use clear silicone and lay a bead of sealant the entire length before laying the sheet on top then lay something heavy on top for the mastic to squeeze tight against the other.
