Flexible floor overlaid with tiles

by Danc » Wed May 23, 2007 4:06 pm

I have just moved into a house with a conservatory which has the electric underfloor heating with a tiles overlaid. The floor has some flex in it and i assume is board over timber. The joints on the tiles have all opened up and i want to sort this.

Can anyone recommend something to seal the joints and maintain flexibility bearing in mind the under floor heating?

Thanks

Cant be done in our experience. Once a floor is moving the tiles move and the joints crack and the tile bed also starts to crack up. This will lead to loosening of the tiles regardless of what you put in the joints.
