Gable end Water Marks but no Water on Inside Walls Information, help and tips on many areas of roofing including trusses, tiling, venting, insulation etc....

hi
I have water dripping from undercloak on wet verge onto external gable. no apparent water on inside walls. I do have a few cracks in verge mortar but dont want to seal these in case that traps water in and forces it down internal walls.

has anyone seen these symptoms that could tell me what it was? i was thinking maybe ridge tile ?
