Garden lighting circuit and outdoor socket

by Random90 » Wed Feb 17, 2021 9:49 pm

I am currently landscaping my garden, I would like to install lights and one outdoor socket. I have a spare circuit breaker in my garage fuseboard I worked out I want 8 spot lights, 4 uplights and 4 light along a fence to illuminate the patio area, is this something you can do yourself or does part p get in the way? If not how much of it can I do myself. If so any advice on the best method of wiring and which cables and connectors to use.

You can do all of the lights if you buy a "kit" that is 12v

If not, you would be better off getting an electrician to do the job for you, since they can use the appropriate cables, know how to terminate them and all the correct regulations and above all, it will be safe.
