Gas boiler cabling advice needed

We have just had a gas boiler installed by a family friends grandson, i went to tidy the cable away and I found the copper is exposed on some connectors including L and N it looks unsafe to me can anyone please give their opinion.

It's the Darwin system, removes from human race anyone daft enough to touch it.

Clearly you should not see copper, you should not even see the insulated cores, my concern is not what you can see, you can see the danger and not touch, but if the work is that bad, what else has he got wrong?
