I did not go out to get a geofencing and occupancy detection thermostat, I wanted a thermostat/programmer that could work with two wires controller to base unit.
However it has geofencing and occupancy detection so may as well use it. But how does it work, I have seen no instruction as to how many miles away it is set to switch off/on so assume it is a sliding scale?
So maybe will drop temperature 2 degs if 5 miles away or 10 degs if 50 miles away, but I can find no info. I am using mainly Nest Gen 3 but also have Energenie Mihome TRV heads.
