Glass shower enclosure

by pobereskinl » Mon Apr 02, 2007 8:45 am

I have a Chiara in-line shower enclosure with a swing door. It fits between two walls and is not a corner unit. I want to remove it and put in in another bathroom but I don't seem to be able to get it away from the wall. I have removed all the screws holding it but it is made in such a way that the panel itself will not come away from the brackets which are screwed to the wall. I can't get to the screw holding the brackets to the wall because of the panel itself. Is there some way to make it "shorter" so that it will clear the brackets? I could slid it up and away if it wasn't for the ceiling. Surely I don't have to take that down!!!

Hi.
I had a similar problem recently, and it transpired that it was just an extremely good fitting channel holding the screen. If you cannot move it suspect that it may have been assembled with a bead of silicone, which will grip like BillyOh in a tight fitting. Hope this helps.
