Granite or Stone Worktop Acid Damage Help Needed

Post by fullmoon » Tue May 09, 2017 8:04 pm

Hello.

I'm new to the forum and was wondering if you guys could help me with repairing acid/corrosive liquid damaged Granite/Stone kitchen top surface sealing. It looks awful and I have no idea how easy or difficult it is to repair the damage. I regretted leaving the oven cleaner in plastic bag which leaked into granite worktop. By the time I realized it, it has eaten away the top layer coating.

I tried this http://www.wickes.co.uk/Ltp-Mpg-Sealer- ... L/p/119832 to restore but it doesn't bring back the glossiness, shine and protective layer back. The damaged area is whitened due to lack of coating.

Any idea how to remedy this issue? Actual damaged area http://prnt.sc/f5y42w

Thank you so much in advance.
