Grout in wood grain

by Kay27 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 12:33 pm

I have been unfortunate enough to employ cowboy workmen to undertake bathroom refit, and they have caused extensive damage including covering solid oak units in grout. I have tried cleaning them, but cannot get the grout out of the wood grain. The units have a dark stain, so dont want to damage this by scrubbing too hard. Any ideas?

Kay27,
I think you are into removing the grout with a wire brush and then re-staining.
end

Thanks. I was hoping for a less difficult solution, but knew one was not likely.
