Growing food in light of coronavirus rhubarb, tomatoes etc.

by ericmark » Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:31 am

As the chances of lock down seemed likely, we got some seeds, grow bags, and compost with idea of growing food, the corner off rhubarb in sons house has been hacked off, and I have temporary placed it in compost from local council, idea was stop it dying, live on a slop and can't find a spade, only a shovel, so seems unlikely I can dig a hole, also in real terms unlikely to get rhubarb this year anyway, however will it survive in a plastic box with no drainage holes?

All I want at moment is to keep it alive, once the coronavirus is over I can get a spade and plant it proper.
