Heating is not warming up house quick enough

by mandyjayne » Mon Jan 05, 2009 7:20 pm

 Have a 2 year old Worcester Bosch boiler and TRV on radiators. Heating and hot water come on at same time each morning but radiators don't come on downstairs until hot water is heated and "switches off" due to reaching temp (not on timer). The heating then warms the radiators downstairs but takes as in today for example all day to heat the house. Therm is in lounge and now says 19 degrees (set at 20) and has heating / boiler has been firing all day.I know it's cold outside but this just seems ridiculous! Please help.............we are very cold!

Oh and, when the timer has switched off for day, occasionally I hear the boiler call for heat which lasts about 10 seconds and then all is quiet again.

Answers please.

Can't work out what the fault may be from the basic description you give. What model of boiler is it? What type of system do you have - describe it.

The radiators should heat up the same time as the hot water. You don't say how hot the rads get.
