Help with Simple Wiring for Attaching a Ceiling Fan

by robjw » Tue Jun 24, 2014 12:02 pm

Hi Everyone/Anyone,

I have a need to reattach a ceiling fan, that I had previously no intention of reattaching but now do. (It was also some time ago.)

Unfortunately I do not know which wires to attach to what.

Here are the connectors in the fan:

I need to know where to insert the 2x Live (Black and Brown) / Neutral / Earth wires.

I hope someone can help? Thanks in advance.

Regards

Rob.

Not enough info to work out sorry.
However some pointers often there is a run on timer so it needs a permanent line and switched line. Getting the two wrong way around would mean fan would not stop or would not run on but unlikely to cause damage.

I would guess on black being neutral.
