Hi,

I'm new to this forum and am seeking any help or advice regarding an old Talbot Pressure Reducing Valve fitted to my side of the main stop cock.
My water pressure as been slowly reducing over the past several years and as just reached a point where the shower keeps going cold due to 'Low Pressure'.
The pipe work on my side of the main stopcock is about 50+ years old so was wondering if this valve my be the main cause. However, I cant find any info on if or how this valve can be cleaned or refurbished or what may happen if i undo the cover which as a nut on top, afraid I might get a major leak!
Access is very deep and difficult down a small chamber so removal would mean major excavations.

Any advice/help greatly appreciated.
