Hot water air lock

by siamshops » Sun Sep 20, 2009 10:33 am

I have a combi boiler installed which is working fine, my hot water supply upstairs is having a few problems, I think its air in the system, when you turn the taps on the flow will reduce to nearly nothing and and a vibration sort of noise starts turn off and reopen solves the problem but how do I cure it. Any ideas would be most helpful thanks.

It's not air, if the other taps in the house are ok - it's not the boiler either.

Try reducing the water temperature (turn the boiler stat down) and see if it works any better, sometimes the heat causes the washer to expand and reduce the water flow rate.
