Hi John,

Are you sure no gas service to the property whatsoever.
If not £1000's you need to check with national grid.
To install GCH, is a guess also, but circa £1800 - £3000

Need more info on the property you live in etc

hi steve thanks for your reply,
the property is a one bed flat on the ground floor, everything is electric and i have to wait ages for the water to heat up which is a pain, there is not gas to the block at all, there is gas in the road as our neighbours have it but we do not, i was hoping it would be quite reasonable but now im not so sure.

John,

It does boil down to how far from a main you are, proximity of pipes available, what they have to dig etc. I believe they put a sort of price per linear metre to the job.
