How to Dismantle a Retro tap to Change Washer

Post by rookie456 » Wed Sep 18, 2019 1:07 pm

Hi,
our tap is leaking.
Google said that the most likely solution would be to change the washer and in order to do that I need to dismantle the tap first.
But I really can't figure out how to dismantle it.

We have this tap https://bathroomvillage.com/products/im ... 9325675572 and I haven't found an installation guide for that.

I tried to lift the cover (where HOT is written) and find a screw underneath but it seems like it's a glued/ solid piece and there is no screw underneath.

I tried to loosen up the bottom part of the tap (as shown here in this video https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZJRLed ... sp=sharing ) but I still couldn't dismantle it.

Please can you give me advice what do I need to do to be able to access the washer?

This video shows how is it leaking. It is actually not from the tap opening. Do you think that washer needs to be changed? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZJRLed ... sp=sharing

Thank you
