Immersion heater clock replacement

by rl471 » Sun Sep 09, 2007 3:52 pm

Need to replace old economy 7 sangamo quartz clock from about 20 years ago with new one as old is gradually losing more and more time.
Got new drayton digi clock and unsure about swapping wiring. New one has an 'industry standard' back board with a 'N', 'L'(for the clock), '1'(common), '2'(off), '3'(on), & '4' terminal besides the earth.
The old timer has three wires coming in, connected together on a block like this: earths, two separate live terminals(for 2 elements), two neutrals together, and the red and black connection (separately) from the mains.
Which wires connect into which terminals between the tank and mains to the new clock?
