Impact thudding sounds that travel along the floor...

Post by RichardA » Mon Jun 18, 2007 11:07 pm

Hello There

I wonder whether you can help.

I am looking for a DIY or an affordable soundproofing insulation solution to the impact thudding sounds that seems to be travelling along the wood laminate floor of my flat from my neighbour next door to me dropping weights on his floor.

I have had acoustic membrane / barrier shield and acoustic plasterboard added to the wall already, which has improved the acoustic insulation of the wall, and I have some spare Barrier shield left over.

I have also added foam underneath the legs of my bed which has also helped a little to absorb the vibration from the dropped weights. But the noise still remains.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Richard A

Talk to the guys from Custom Audio Design. You will find their banner in teh soundproofing projects, click through to their site and ring them, they are a great bunch.
