Installing a Pump

I am about to install a water pump to push water a shower, do I also need to install the s flange in the top of the hot water tank, or is this not nessacary?

hi mark yes but there is another way fit an ******* or surrey valve cant remember which to top outlet saves cutting all the best john

surrey flange in the top is easier than drilling in the side of the cylinder and fitting the ******* one. Or you can make it the first connection off the 22mm pipe from the cyllinder on the top to where it drops vertically down. But you must use a 22m tee on the horizontal piece only. And from that tee go down and the up to the loft.
