Installing Bath/Shower Mixer tap Directly to Existing Pipework

by IainC » Sun Sep 01, 2019 7:29 pm

Hello All,
Planning on installing a bath/shower mixer tap in my bathroom but have some queries first.
The bath currently has 2 individual taps (Ideal Standard). Checking under the bath the hot water feed has a Thermostatic Mixing Valve installed. The hot water system is a Combi-Boiler so no header tank.
Question is:
Can I install a bath/shower mixer tap directly onto the existing bath tap feeds with it having a thermostatic mixing valve?
or would it require either a regulator valve and non-return valve to stop cold water getting to the boiler?

Cheers in advance
