Insulating and Drylining for Partial Loft Conversion

by Giddy666 » Fri Nov 01, 2019 12:00 am

Hi all, I’m planning on insulating and dry lining my loft, the floor was laid 3 years ago and I can see there’s adequate insulation under the boards. None of the rafters or external walls (Mid terraced house) have any insulation so I was thinking of putting Celotex boards on the roof and some knauf Wool insulation on the external walls. Is this adequate? As I’ve read I should put some quilt over the celotex then plaster boards? It’s not going to be a living space, just storage, but I can feel how much heat I’m losing up there!!! Also I have very little head height to put bigger rafters or thicker insulation. Thanks anyone who can help.
Regards Gidion.
