Hi,

Have a load of sand left by previous property owner.

Is there a way to tell sharp sand from other sand please?

I need some sharp sand to down beneath paving slabs.

Hi kr236rk
Put some of the sand in a glass container and add water.
Give a good shake and if you end up with a clay layer in the water it’s building sand. You will get some dirt with sharp sand but there should not be much clay.
