Is it wise to lay porcelain tiles on my floor-boards kitchen

May you please advise me. I was planning to buy porcellain tiles to use on my kitchen. My kitchen has floor-boards. I have not bought the tiles yet but I am thinking of buying them. What is your advise? Is it wise or do you recommend something else? What are the best tiles for a floor-boarded kitchen? Please help. :(

Whatever you do, don't lay directly onto the floorboards. I tried this once, it didn't last long.

You need to overlay the floorboards with some sheet ply to strengthen the floor and minimise the flex in it. If the floor moves then theres every chance the adhesive will crack and the tiles will work loose.
