Is Low pressure or flow the cause of slow kitchen tap

by Grahamggg » Tue Jul 12, 2016 1:25 pm

Suffering from low pressure and poor flow rate, currently get 4.5l/min from the kitchen tap. Water company has checked the boundary and that is fine. Could the attached picture be the problem? We have a combi boiler, could this be a pressure valve from old tank system? Thanks.

Is it a pressure valve? Not seen anything like these and doesn't have a screw to alter pressure?
Should be fairly easy for a plumber to remove?

I haven't seen one either but suspect it is, the one below is a non return valve,
if the water switches off ok it would take about 20 mins to remove

Great, I'll get it taken out and hopefully we'll get some pressure on our taps.
Thanks!
