Is Ready Mix Cement ok to Use for Wall Capping Repair?

Post by Schzam » Tue Apr 14, 2015 11:46 am

Afternoon

I have an outside wall where the cappings have come loose, would ready mixed cement be ok to repair this, once I have removed the old stuff ?

If so, any recommendations on which one ?

Cheers

Any ready mix would do the job. Try Jetcem: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... -pack.html

Tip Tip:
You should coat the top of the wall and the underside of the copping stone with SBR (approx 2:1, SBR to Water) and leave this for 1/2 an hour before cementing. This stops the moisture being sucked out of the cement so quickly and makes a much better bond.

Try this SBR, but most will do: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... litre.html
