laminate on top of tiles??

Post by wheldon » Sun Jan 18, 2009 2:36 pm

Hi,

Can anyone help...I want to lay laminate flooring in my kitchen, we have tiles down and part of the kitchen is uneven so....is it okay to put self levelling stuff onto the tiles and leave the rest that is already level, then put laminate directly on top...or do we need to pull up the old tiles, self level then lay laminate!!!

Thanks

wheldon,
Use a self levelling compound with latex to level floor.
