Laying laminate floor in bathroom

by bevmark2 » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:42 pm

Can anyone please help!! We are laying a laminate floor in our bathroom and after removing the carpet to prep the floor we have noticed that the toilet has been glued down to the floor so we are unable to lay floor underneath. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can lift the toilet without damaging it, alternatively, any ideas on how we can get a good fit around and how to finish off the edges round the toilet base if we just go around it. Thanks.

bevmark2,
If the pan really is permanent you could make a card cutout to give the shape needed. a bead of silicone sealant will then be require to seal the join.
end
