Lead mains water supply replacing

Post by TOKENKING » Tue Feb 22, 2022 8:57 pm

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what tradesperson I need to contact to install and connect a new plastic water supply. I’m converting the cellar and the existing lead pipe supply needs to be removed, the new blue pipe is in situ at the front of the building ready for the water company to do their bit. I’ve asked plumbers but no success yet, am I barking up the wrong tree?
Cheers

Hi tokenking,
Try searching for companies that specialise in replacing mains pipes. They will have the mole-ing equipment which will simplify installation. Try to get quotes from at least 2 companies.
