Simply Build It

Hi Willcox, easy this one...
It is called an intermediate sw. & will be part of a 3 sw. system whereby u can control your 2 lights from 3 positions along a long passage or staircase.
The set up is known as '2way & intermediate' .
the sw. you want is available from most suppliers but probably not from your local hardware shop.
depending upon how your house was wired there will be either 2 twin/e cables or 2 three core/e cables with one core looped through in a connector in sw. box.
Normally they connect one cable to top of sw. & one to bottom , not side to side.
Get sw. and have a go, the worst that can happen is light will not sw. on/off properly, ie. 1 sw. won't work or light stays 'on/off', you can't blow circuit fuse/mcb or do damage, regards SPARX
