Ok. I can use the back door to get in and out, but the front door lock (upvc) door will not unlock.
Yale lock. Key goes in okay and will turn left (anti clockwise) but stick when turning right (clockwise) when trying to unlock.
Have tried squirting WD40 and doing the usual stuff like shaking, pushing and pulling door etc. as well as trying to unlock from outside. Door is also one of those where you have to pull the handle up to lock (the extra security lock mechanism thing).
Any ideas what the problem might be? The lock itself is less than 2 years old (door probably 15 years or so).
Do I need to call a professional for an expensive complete door replacement job?
Hi letsgooutside, Most likely the Eurolock is playing up, call a locksmith who should be able to sort the problem without requiring a replacement door. Regards S
