Loud Humming Coming From Boiler After Moving to Airing Cupboard

by Adamtaylor783 » Tue Jan 09, 2018 6:23 am

We recently had our boiler moved from our kitchen up to inside the airing cupboard, since then whenever the heating or hot water kicks in there is a loud humming sound, like a low flying plane, coming from the boiler that lasts for a couple of minutes.
The plumber who moved it is saying it's the flue as originally it went straight out the wall and now it goes up through the roof and he says they gave him the wrong one and the right one is discontinued now so he says we have to buy a new boiler.
I've got someone else coming to have a look in a couple of days for a 2nd opinion but just wondered if anyone on here had had a similar problem?
