Low Pressure Newlec Calypso

Post by timv128 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 8:22 pm

Hello there, It's my first time of posting , so please be gentle. I have a Newlec calypso plus shower which has severley reduced pressure, Even on the cold setting and turn the handset upside down, it goes about two inches out of the thing, the main problem is that if you turn the water up hotter, the flow gets so slow, right up to the point where if you turn it up to anything over two thirds heat, no water at all comes out....any help would be HUGELY accepted......

Check and clean filters, if it's old then it may be all furred up inside (limescale) reducing the flow.

is there any way of cleaning it ? or cleaning the filters, or does it just mean replacing the shower ?

You can clean the filter, check in the cold water connection.

If the unit is furred up - best of renewing the shower.
