Macerator running even when loo not flushed

by pommyweed » Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:52 pm

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with a macerator problem. I have a macerator which occasionally runs even when no one has flushed the loo. There is no indication that water is running into it to cause it to flush. I'm wondering if I just need a new macerator! Any help/advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi pommyweed
Check that the cistern is not overfilling and this is feeding into the pan. Also if you have a plunger type flush that this is not letting by.
