Make door with tubular 63mm mortice latch lockable

by 2theorchard » Fri Jan 07, 2022 1:10 pm

Hi all,

First time on site. I've just moved into a new house and all the doors are fitted with brass tubular 63mm mortice latches. I want to make one of these doors lockable but don't know how to get started. Ideally, I don't have to remove any extra timber from the door or put in a barrel bolt in the architrave (as it's a rental).

Any tips?

Brendan

Hi 2theorchard,
If you search on line for ‘lockable latch handles’ you should find what you want.
