Mitre corners in kitchen unit cornices

by Betty14 » Sat Aug 15, 2009 8:02 pm

My husband has been making a very good job of changing our kitchen unit doors, his problem began when he was fitting the corniceing, and his mitre joints aren't the best. Is there anything that we can buy to place over the corners to make them look a little neater. Please help I don't want him to feel bad and remove the whole corniceing as he spent hours over it and the kitchen is looking so good, it is a wee bit spoilt with the mitre corners

Betty14,
Probably worth trying some silicone sealant the same colour as the cornice, this will fill any gaps. Use masking tape both sides of the join.
