Need help filling a hole in a chipboard floor!?

by Dysmir » Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:13 pm

Hi,

I have converted my kitchen into another bedroom and I am having a carpet laid tomorrow but have an issue with the floor, please help!

Where the pipes for the sink went into the floor, which is made of chipboard, it has left a hole, abotu 6x3 Inches.

I obviously can't lay the carpet over it, How do I fill the hole??

Dysmir,
Get a piece of 3x2 timber about 10" long. Pass the down through the hole and screw through the existing floor into its ends. Cut a piece of chipboard to fit the hole and screw it into place.
end
