I have just changed a New Potterton FS 30 boiler for an old Gloworm Hideaway.
The old boiler had an inlet and outlet for the heating and ditto for the hot water.
The new boiler has only one outlet and one inlet with a diverter valve to control when the hot water is heated (in a cylinder upstairs).
Trouble is....when we click it onto 'Hot Water' the boiler and pump go off - after about three seconds. The heating will then work only when we turn the Hot Water button off.
So it seems that when the diverter valve is brought into play the boiler and pump stop.
Could it be air in the sytem or what?
