New boiler installation - hot water now cloudy

by robnem » Fri Apr 03, 2009 11:37 pm

Hi guys,

Just wanted some advice.

We've just had a new boiler installed - it's a combi boiler.

Ever since the installation, as soon as the water from the hot tap gets hot, the water becomes cloudy. If you fill a basin, the water will be cloudy, but clears after after a minute or so.

The plumber who installed the system said that this issue would go after a day or so (something about it flushing the system out...) two weeks later it's still not gone.

Any ideas what this is? Is this normal? Or is there a problem with the installation? Should we get back to them to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Rob

Yes it's normal, nothing to worry about.

Thanks for that, reassuring to know.

Not sure why the plumber didn't know that... :)
