Hi the cable in ceiling for old light was black red and green the new light has brown blue and green-yellow. We connected brown to red blue to black and green-yellow to green. Also the light fitting had another small earth wire attached to the metal which we also connected to the green. Is this correct!!!
The instructions on light were poor. The light works!!! just hope its done correctly! :?

if they where the only cables from the ceiling and it works, it is probally a circuit wired via junction box and switch.
