new central heating in a large house

by robbo121 » Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:08 pm

I am restoring an old farm house and am at the stage of central heating.
I have bought a second hand oil boiler(3 yrs old) more than big enough for the job but i would like to make use of a solid fuel RAYBURN and possibly a back boiler of an open fire"both on ground floor".
is it possible to link all into the flow and return system so that if the back boiler or rayburn is on they will heat all the water and the oil boiler wont come on.
I have been told this is possible and is easy to do and also been told can be done but with lots of expensive kit??
please give me your opinion as i am not a plumber and am at a loss

thanks
