condensation can always be a nuisance but I have always tried ventalation air bricks and opening windows to be a great help, can't say i've ever found the need to invest in equipment to resolve it but not knocking the idea!

Thanks again KB.

It really is most odd, I am going to just leave htings for another couple of weeks and see what happens, I have now got this small de-humidifier, see if that helps at all - but if not I wil have to get my builder back who did the work on the wall - worst case I guess is to do it all over again! This could go on forever I suppose, it is a bit weird - I am just surprised that with the meter registering moisture, the paint work does not feel wet, show any dampness or flakiness or anything other than a cold feeling - but then it always has felt cold there - just darn strange!
