Our current 'standard' garden fencing is over 10 years old and some of the rails on the back are getting very worn out. However, the posts are all in perfectly usable condition.
We need to look at replacing the panels but have a problem in as much as our neighbours will deny us access to their side of the fence to action the replacement of the panels.
Is there any way we could just install panels in front of the existing ones and fix them to the existing posts?
I don't know if this is possible but just trying to think if how to get round the problem.
Hi davidrichards27 You do not say what type of fencing you currently have but since you have rails and you can see them it is probably feather edged weatherboarding. You could fit new rails between the existing posts and fix them using arris rail repair brackets. You would then need to fix new fewb boards to them on your side. Regards S
