No Cold Feed to My Bath

by darlow84 » Thu Jul 15, 2010 10:41 am

Hi,

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I recently had a new washing machine fitted in my 1 bedroom flat. The washing machine is cold water feed only. Since then, my bath and shower combi has only been receiving hot water to both the taps and the shower. This means that the water is only ever scalding hot. If I try and make the shower anything less than scalding hot then the shower turns off. Is this linked to the cold feed on the washing maching or is it unrelated?

I'd rather not get a plumber out yet until I've tried everything possible. Any suggestions on here would be great!

Thanks.......

The only thing I can think of is when the water was turned off and drained down so the washer could be fitted, when it was turned back on, it left an airlock in the cold feed to the shower and bath which I presume are low pressure feeds????
